Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, 2007
Thu Sep 20 21:06:03 CDT 2007
Last week my family and I went on a canoe trip to the Boundary Waters. We had a wonderful time,
even though the fishing was off, even though the weather turned icy and
windy, even though we all smelled awful after a week without showering, ...
Hmm, on second thought, it was horrid, and you're lucky if you weren't there
suffering with us. You didn't have to put up with the incredible scenery,
the cozy campfires, the crystal waters, or the complete lack of bugs. Sooo
lucky you are. I am envious. I can never get that week of my life back,
and all I have now are agonizing memories of camp-fried fish, uncomfortably
close camaraderie, and that terrible feeling you get when a smallmouth hits
your lure.
Oh, and I have photos too. Please try to enjoy them.
Let's see... I was there; my dad was there; my three brothers Mark, Danny,
and Chris were there; and we brought a friend named Roy. In total there
were six people in three canoes and two stinky tents.
